Things you should keep in mind before applying for MBBS in Ukraine
MBBS or equivalent degrees are among the most sought-after qualifications for young students. Every year thousands of students from India travel to Ukraine to enroll in globally approved medical courses.
Studying MBBS in Ukraine has become an option for many Indian students as the number of seats in the medical colleges in India is grossly inadequate in comparison to the number of aspirants and Ukraine offers a viable alternative with underlying benefits to study medicine in its renowned universities for international students.

But, is Ukraine MBBS valid in India

The medical universities in Ukraine offer 6 year MD course to undergraduate foreign students which is equivalent to MBBS in India. The courses in many of these medical institutions are approved by the Medical Council of India(MCI) as well as by the World Health Organisation (WHO), UNESCO, and other world bodies. But as per the MCI guideline, MBBS or its equivalent degree holders from foreign universities have to pass a screening test (FMGE) to be able to practice in India or apply for jobs or higher study. This applies to medical graduates from Ukraine as well.
However, the Medical Council of India is set to be replaced by a new regulatory authority called the National Medical Council and the FMGE test will be replaced by a new test called NEXT from 2022. It’s important to note that passing NEXT will be compulsory for even the MBBS from India who wishes to pursue higher studies.
